Geoffrey Smalley

Geoffry Smalley creates theatrical critiques of the people and events that suffuse the public domain through cut-up decontextualizations. Much of the work is based in the realm of the method of teching children through play and re-creation. Smalley was born in Chicago, where he lives and paints murals and living rooms and whichever other rooms need painting as Artists at Work. He has had one-person exhibitions at the Tarble Art Center at Eastern Illinois University and Gescheidle Gallery, as well as group exhibitions at Gallery 312, Peter Miller Gallery and the Contemporary Art Workshop.
