Hilary Meehan

Hilary Meehan plows her own personal experience. Her work imbues everyday objects with loaded meaning through the use of scale, linetype, and juxtaposition. Meehan's work churns through personal murk to find an alchemical outlet for betterment. Please bring your baggage. She received an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2004. Recent shows include a solo show at Dinnerware Contemporary Arts, in Tucson, AZ; and group shows at Platform Gallery & MOCA Tucson. In 2005, Meehan completed a 20' x 50' mural on the ceiling of the Rialto Theatre in Tucson. Her background in architecture has led to an unusually strong desire to draw on walls. She is currently teaching drawing at the University of Arizona. "I'm calling for Hope".
