David Shrigley

Shrigley was born in 1968, in Macclesfield, England and studied fine art at Glasgow School of Art from 1988 to 1991. He has exhibited widely around the world. Recent solo exhibitions have been held at Kunsthaus Zurich, Switzerland in 2003; Camden Arts Centre, London; FRAC Bretagne, France and UCLA Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, USA all in 2002. Recent group exhibitions include State of Play at the Serpentine Gallery, London; Britannia Works at Ileana Tounta Contemporary Art Centre, Athens and Emotion Eins at Kunstverein in Frankfurt in 2004. He now lives and works in Glasgow and is represented by the Stephen Friedman Gallery, www.stephenfriedman.com.
